What Makes A Dance?

School Performances
School Residencies

What are the elements of dance? How do they affect what you see and what the choreographer wants to convey? In “What Makes a Dance?” we delve into the ingredients of dance. We explore through movement such factors as space, time, motivation, instrumentation, energy/force, and form. We probe into the individual elements and then see how they are put together to make a cohesive whole. Through “What Makes a Dance?” you will discover and appreciate the richness of this ancient art form.
